Great, bring on the Habari review. I've already read one on Paul Stamatiou's blog.

I was attracted by the admin UI - much better than even the new WP 2.5 admin. Well done, Habari team.

I don't think WP 2.5 will be released today or tomorrow. Besides, the first version of a new branch is always problematic, so it is wise to hold back for a 2.5.1 or something.

@Owen, I've been playing around with Habari since the 0.2 Developer Preview days and I must say I've been impressed by its growth. I'm planning to review it here on the blog sometime this week, and I plan to highlight the strength and weeknesses of Habari.

Habari's comparison with Wordpress would be inevitable though..

So I hear you're interested in checking out Habari... ;)

I'm anxious to get your opinions on it. We're making a big push for a 0.5 release before some events we're sponsoring in the summer, and the update will include things like podcasting support, a completed permissions system, and a polished admin interface, one that hopefully balances eye-candy against functionality well.

Remember that one of Habari's best assets is its community, and if you're unsatisfied with Habari and have specific suggestions for improvement, we're listening.

Yeah, I'm not a great fan of eye candy. I'd probably wait and watch before upgrading myself
